Rena Dixon is the president and founder of the Heart of Gold Foundation for Sarcoidosis.  A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania  dedicating her life to raising awareness of Sarcoidodsis.  She created the foundation  in memory of her husband Kenneth (Glen) Dixon Sr. who passed away unexpectedly from Cardiac Sarcoidosis.
Rena  began her career in public service in 1996 when  Glen and herself began the Hazelwood Youth Football and Cheerleaders Association.  Rena is blazing the trails fot just for women, but for any individual that has found themselves in a dormant state of mind, listless or in dire need of a breakthrough.  Rena has serve on boards such as the Hazelwood YMCA, Allegheny County Midget Football League and served as President of the Hazelwood Midget Football and Cheerleaders Association.  Rena neverending thirst for knowledge about Sarcoidosis has become a second career.
